Simione Tamanisau (born 5 June 1982) is a Fijian international footballer, who plays as a goalkeeper for Lautoka F.C. in the National Football League. He was once prevented from playing an international match in New Zealand because of his father-in-law. ==Club career== Tamanisau has spent his entire domestic career so far in his native Fiji. In 2003, he played for the Olympian Team but left after one year. He joined National Football League side Rewa for the 2004 season and helped the team to a third placed finish that year, conceding less than a goal per game. The team again finished third in 2005 before achieving fourth place in the 2006 campaign. The fortunes of the team subsequently took a downturn with a seventh placed finish in 2007, fifth place in 2008 and sixth place in 2009. In the 2009 season, he conceded six goals in a match against Lautoka, the most he has let in during a competitive match to date. During the 2010–11 season, Tamanisau had a loan spell in Papua New Guinea with Hekari United.
